Big Bear Run 6/07/2014

GET JeepN took on White Mountain trail on the back side of Big Bear. White Mountain trail is rated black diamond (most difficult) but thanks to a couple of by-pass trails that avoided some very tough hill climbs we were all able to run the trail successfully.  The 28 Jeeps in our group left the Discovery Center at 10 a.m. and we ran until around 4 o’clock. Our journey took us through a variety of trail conditions from pine tree forests to high desert chaparral.  There were several view points along the way that provided us spectacular views of the Lucerne valley, one of which we stopped at and had lunch.  We had one miss hap along the way, a flat tire which was replaced with the spare in a matter of minutes due to our club team effort.   It was a fun, yet challenging drive that we all enjoyed.
